Music Ministry
At North Fayette United Methodist Church we seek to worship God through a variety of musical styles and formats. We hold true to the instruction given in Psalm 150 as we praise the Lord with a variety of instruments and voices.
Here are some of the ways you can participate in this ministry.
NFUMC Winds
This NFUMC Winds is a traditional concert wind ensemble using woodwind brass, and percussion instruments. The group is open to all woodwind, brass or percussion players , advanced 6th grade-through adults. You will normally hear the "Winds" on festival Sundays (Easter, Palm Sunday,) and on major programs participating with the Chancel Choir and the Agape Ringers. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 4:00 PM. Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is open to all singers middle-school through adult. Music reading is not a requirement. The choir sings for most 11:00 worship celebrations, on occasion at the 8:45 service., and for other special services. ( Hanging of the Greens, Maundy Thursday, Ash Wednesday , Christmas Eve, etc..)The Chancel Choir participates in 2 to 3 major programs per year including programs at Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter. Rehearsals are on Wednesday night at 7:00 and childcare is provided. Contact Mike Daniell at miked@nfumc.com or 770-461-2409 ext 21.
Handbells
The Agape Ringers provide handbell music every 3rd Sunday at the 8:45 and 11:00 services and other Festival Services (Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, etc...) This group is open to Youth and Adults as space is made available. Music reading skills are encouraged.Contact Becky Douville at beckyd@nfumc.com or 770-461-2409.
